What Salzburg serves best

The Austrian Saturday

As everywhere in the Alps, the season turns on Saturday: charter rotations follow one another and the valleys fill in a few hours. Allow extra time on that day, and give us your flight number so the pick-up follows the actual landing.

The Tauern car-carrying train

Towards Carinthia the Gastein valley is a dead end for cars: vehicles take the shuttle train from Böckstein to Mallnitz. It is a normal part of local life, and sometimes faster than driving round by the motorway.
